The Frenchman has been impressive in the pre-season under Erik ten Hag and the Dutchman placed his faith and decided to not opt for any signings last summer.
He has now missed 20 out of 34 games for the Red Devils this campaign and had five separate injury lay-offs.
He is yet to manage a full 90-minute game this season even though his goal contribution has been pretty solid given the number of matches he played.
The French forward is out of contract in the summer of 2024 with an option for an extension and United are now aiming to cash in this summer.
The Red Devils will go on the market to sign a new centre-forward and getting Martial and other fringe players off the books would definitely help the club’s finances.
United have their eyes on Tottenham Hotspur’s record goalscorer Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen of Napoli.
