According to German media, Felix Nmecha, a midfielder for Borussia Dortmund, is attracting a lot of interest from Manchester United. According to reports, the Red Devils have identified the former Manchester City academy graduate as a possible midfield addition as they attempt to further revitalize Ruben Amorim’s team this summer.

With just over a year remaining on his Old Trafford contract, Casemiro’s future is still up in the air, and United is expected to let go of Christian Eriksen, a Denmark international who is now out of contract. Clubs in the Saudi Pro League are still interested in the Brazilian, who was linked to a move to the Middle East last summer.

If the Bundesliga team doesn’t manage to hold onto their spot in Europe’s top club competition, they might have to let go of some of their best players, including Jamie Gittens and Karim Adeyemi.

In order to sign the midfield player during the summer transfer window, Bild claims that United is currently pursuing Nmecha. The article says Ruben Amorim’s team would be willing to give €48 million (£40.1m) and characterizes United’s interest as “sudden.”

Although Nmecha was initially thought to be a €30 million waste, he has emerged as a Dortmund regular starter this season and was called up to the German national team by Julian Nagelsmann in November.

Due to a knee injury, the “exceptional” 24-year-old has missed Dortmund’s last seven Bundesliga games and has been out since January. He is under a £100,000-per-week contract until June 2028.

In the upcoming window, they had no intention of selling Nmecha, but they were prepared to part with some of their stars. They worry about the German midfielder’s future, though, because Manchester United is vying for his services.

The Red Devils are seriously jeopardizing the German club’s plans for the 24-year-old. If Dortmund continues to struggle in the ongoing campaign, the former City star could push for a move away. But it will be interesting to see if he wants to play for the red side of Manchester.
