According to reports, former Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is suing his old team for £1 million in damages for allegedly hurting his career. Tuanzebe, who currently plays for Burnley, says that United is to blame for his ongoing health problems.
The 27-year-old, who attended United’s academy, made 37 appearances for the senior squad. After a two-year stint with Ipswich, he left at the end of the 2022–2023 season when his contract expired and joined Burnley in the summer.
In July, it was revealed that Tuanzebe was suing United for claimed clinical negligence. Sky News has now learnt the specifics of the accusations against the Congolese international, who has battled ailments throughout his career.
According to reports, Tuanzebe claims that United neglected to promptly and appropriately treat an injury, resulting in more severe long-term issues. He asserts that the effects of the first injury prevent him from playing without restriction or impediment today.

According to the source, Tuanzebe is seeking damages above £1 million and “blames United for no longer being able to play without restriction or impediment.” Stress fractures near the back of Tuanzebe’s spine are said to be the main focus of the alleged lawsuit.
According to reports, Tuanzebe allegedly got a right-sided pars fracture in July 2022 after suffering a left-sided pars fracture in January 2020. Tuanzebe has reportedly had “significant pain and discomfort since their development and deterioration” as a result of the fractures.
According to Sky News, the lawsuit stated that, on the balance of probabilities, appropriate treatment plans would have prevented the claimant from experiencing the pain and discomfort listed below and would have allowed him to play professional football at an elite level without hindrance or restriction. Even though he still plays at a high level, this has affected his career and income.
