According to reports, Juventus is prepared to make Manchester United an offer for Dusan Vlahovic as part of a bold trade to bring Jadon Sancho to Turin this summer.
Sancho is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, and other clubs are vying for a summer agreement with him, including the Italian powerhouses. After a loan stay at Stamford Bridge, a move to Chelsea did not work out, and the 25-year-old is poised to leave permanently before the new season begins.
Sancho has reportedly been a target for Napoli as well, although Juventus is attempting to outbid the Italian champions for a deal. They are also prepared to make players available to United in an attempt to finalize a deal for Sancho, according to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 25-year-old Serbian striker Vlahovic is regarded as a possible makeweight in a trade between the two teams; he has been linked to a move to United and is reportedly surplus to needs at Juventus.
Man United to be offered Vlahovic or Douglas Luiz in Sancho deal
However, according to Gazzetta, Juventus may attempt to lower the asking price or perhaps execute a straight-up trade involving Sancho and one of the two players they are considering: Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz or Serbian attacker Dusan Vlahovic.
Although Vlahovic is said to have already turned down the opportunity to join a team in Saudi Arabia or Turkey, he could not be opposed to a move to Old Trafford, considering that he could reasonably anticipate earning at least €10 million (£8.6 million) a year.
Man United was rumored to have expressed interest in signing Luiz in January, but the former Aston Villa player preferred to establish himself at Juventus in the second half of the 2024–25 season.
Sancho’s weekly salary in Turin will be drastically reduced, but if an agreement can be reached between his camp and the Old Lady, he and Vlahovic going in different directions might make everyone happy.
