According to reports, Manchester United has shortlisted ten potential additions as Ruben Amorim gets ready for his first transfer window at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have been strongly connected to several elite players since the Portuguese strategist took Erik ten Hag’s position in November.
Over the past several weeks, Amorim has showered praise on a number of Manchester United players, such as Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot. Amad Diallo is one of the players who has already profited from his appointment.
Man United Transfer Targets List January 2025
According to rumors, Amorim will receive a smaller budget than the previously stated Ten Hag, but Man United is still anticipated to look to the transfer market for reinforcements in 2025. Florian Plettenberg claims that Manchester United has up to ten players on their list of potential targets for the upcoming campaign.
Alex Meret, Kenan Yildiz, Victor Boniface, Theo Hernandez, Milos Kerkez, Omar Marmoush, Ederson, David Raum, Viktor Gyokeres, and Antoni Milambo are all being watched by Manchester United as possible 2025 additions, according to the journalist from Sky Germany.
Now that a period of limited investment is coming to an end, what will Manchester United do to strengthen the team? Who will be on the Man United Transfer Targets list this winter, keeping that in mind? You will discover, though.
5. Ederson: Man United transfer targets
- Age: 25
- Club: Real Sociedad
- Position: Defensive Midfielder
- Estimated Value: £52 million (release clause)
In order to establish his dominance over the team as soon as possible, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is likely to receive the board’s backing to sign the players he believes are a good fit for his system. The Red Devils may decide to add players in January itself in an attempt to improve their second half of the season after dropping their last two Premier League games.
According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Germany, they are considering a move for Ederson, a midfielder for Atalanta. According to the journalist, Man United may try to make a move for the Brazilian during the winter transfer window, which is scheduled to begin in just over two weeks, because the player is “highly valued internally.”
Ederson has been one of Serie A’s biggest revelations in the past year or two, playing a key role in Atalanta’s success. According to Transfermarkt, he is worth £30 million and has a deal with La Dea through June 2027. However, Gian Piero Gasperini’s team is probably going to demand a far higher transfer fee in order to let him go given his potential and performance.
4. Milos Kerkez: Man United transfer targets
- Age: 21
- Club: Bournemouth
- Position: Left-Back
- Estimated Value: £40 million (release clause)
According to reports, Manchester United is keeping an eye on Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez as a possible transfer target as they prepare to try a different recruiting strategy. The Red Devils had a terrible start to the season and recently fired manager Erik ten Hag, replacing him with Ruben Amorim. With Amorim, it appears that Manchester United does not wish to repeat their error of giving Ten Hag too much authority and control over the transfer market.
This implies that Dan Ashworth ought to be given a more significant role in hiring, and the source claims that Cherries star Kerkez is among the candidates being examined. Kerkez has mostly performed well at Bournemouth, and since Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw have both recently suffered serious injury issues, United might be wise to add a new left-back.
3. Omar Marmoush: Man United transfer targets
Omar Marmoush should be one of the top transfer targets for Man United.
- Age: 23
- Club: Newcastle United
- Position: Winger
- Estimated Value: £60 million (release clause)
According to reports, Manchester United made first contact on the possible transfer of Omar Marmoush, a forward for Eintracht Frankfurt. With 15 goals in 18 appearances across all competitions this season, the Egyptian international appears to be among the most effective offensive players in Europe right now. Given that Marmoush appears to be hot property and the type of player Eintracht will soon need to cash in on, it makes sense that elite clubs are now vying for him.
A number of recent reports have mentioned Liverpool’s interest in Marmoush, who was recently linked to Manchester United. Sport has now added that Barcelona and Tottenham may also be interested in the 25-year-old. Ruben Amorim was just recently appointed manager of United, and it’s obvious that he took over a struggling team after Erik ten Hag was fired at the end of October.
As soon as possible, the Portuguese strategist will be examining his attacking players who aren’t performing up to par. Marcus Rashford’s career may be in jeopardy, while Joshua Zirkzee may be struggling to gain the favor of his new management.
2. Antonio Silva: Man United transfer targets

- Age: 24
- Club: Bayer Leverkusen
- Position: Wing Back
- Estimated Value: £50 million (release clause)
According to Football Transfers, United may attempt to acquire Antonio Silva of Benfica. Since they have frequently scouted the defender, the 20-time English League champions have been associated with the Portuguese international’s name. After a dismal Euro 2024 campaign, the price has dropped, although no deal was probable this window due to his €100 million release clause.
Being equally skilled on both the left and right sides of defense, the 20-year-old would be beneficial to Old Trafford, who are searching for a replacement for Lisandro Martinez. Jorge Mendes, a super agent who also represents Yoro, represents the Benfica star, and United has a good relationship with him. Silva would also like to go somewhere more glitzy, according to the agent.
1. Theo Hernandez: Man United transfer targets

- Age: 23
- Club: Napoli
- Position: Forward
- Estimated Value: £80 million (release clause)
The agent of AC Milan star and potential Manchester United target Theo Hernandez has provided a telling update on the player’s future. Due to the injury problems of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia for the past 18 months, Manchester United has been looking for a replacement left-back. The Red Devils are among the sides keeping a close eye on Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies as his contract gets closer to expiration.
Hernandez has 18 months left on his current contract and is yet to reach an agreement with Milan on a new one. The 27-year-old might be purchased for €50 million, according to the People’s Person. According to reports, Amorim is keen to have the player at Old Trafford. However, the United boss will not be pleased based on Hernandez’s agent Manuel Garcia Quilon’s most recent comments.
Man United signings:
The January transfer plans for Manchester United under Ruben Amorim. Moreover, the trustworthy source listed Viktor Gyokeres, Georgiany Quenda, and Tomas Araujo as his top three Primeira Liga targets. Though United has only won four of their 12 games so far, they are still 15 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool going into this weekend’s games. United still needs to improve in order to move on to the next round of the Europa League, despite their victory over the Norwegian team on Thursday, moving them up to 12th place in the 36-team league schedule. Hi,
This is a great article but i don’t think koke is going to come
Thanks
Hey am santos johns from uganda i wish jadon sancho make a better change to man u
Man U should let Fred go on loan, get an experienced midfielder with presence. Let Lingard go , Get a good right back to back Wan Bissaka , Brendon Williams not Man U caliber definitely.. so he should also be listed. Yes a Varane, also another center back in case of Maguire or Varane injury.. A Harry Kane would be a dream come true for us, thank you. In case of a Bruno or Pogba injury we should look into Grealish to fill role , I don’t see Van de Beek prospering in a united shirt respectively. Lastly Ole , he should be more aggressive with the players if he wants to see the very best of his players. Pep is successful because he is aggressive with his players he demands more instead of ole sitting and hoping. He should be more vocal.
Hi, I think what man united need most now is one midfielder, one top striker and defender. But if man u can sign Erling haaland and Jack grealish. Then the trophy is coming home to united.
