According to writer Andy Mitten, Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson is having a breakout season for both club and country, and Manchester United “would love” to buy him next year. As part of their intentions to enhance Ruben Amorim’s roster, the Old Trafford team is looking to add a new midfield player in 2026, and Anderson is reportedly one of their top choices.
After pursuing Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, the Red Devils are still interested in the 21-year-old Cameroonian, who is reportedly eager to join Old Trafford following fruitful talks this summer.
Speaking on the Talk of the Devils podcast, Mitten disclosed that Anderson is just the kind of midfield player that Manchester United wants to sign. He also gave the Forest midfielder a direct note. “Yes, Manchester United would love to sign Elliot Anderson, as I indicated a few weeks ago. He is clearly the kind of player Manchester United is looking for.
INEOS are making their intentions clear over which £100m star they want
After acknowledging that not every aspect of Ruben Amorim’s team could be improved before the deadline, INEOS made a new midfield player their top priority going forward.
Even while a high-profile acquisition like Anderson, whom Nottingham Forest also values at over £100 million, won’t be available until at least the end of the current campaign, United is still planning its approach.
According to Mitten, a temporary addition like Conor Gallagher may be made in January to provide Amorim some support during yet another tumultuous stretch, but after that, Anderson will receive all the emphasis.
A few weeks back, I brought up Elliot Anderson. Without a doubt, Manchester United would be thrilled to sign him. On Tuesday’s Talk of the Devils podcast, the United expert stated, “It is evident.”
