Mason Mount has supported the family of a fervent Manchester United supporter who was struck by a vehicle in Bolton and is fighting for his life. Following this, Mount sent a video message to Sarah, Lewis Rimmer’s wife, and their two kids, Maddison and Amelia.
He suffered “life-changing” injuries after being hit by a Range Rover. His close friend Andy Tonge informed the Manchester Evening News that he is still “critically ill” in the hospital after being put into an induced coma.
The note was a lovely gesture for the family, according to Tonge. He was cited by The Bolton News as stating, They’re big Manchester United supporters, so this was lovely to receive, what a guy. After learning about Rimmer’s experiences, Mount offered his sympathies and conveyed his sorrow. Additionally, he expressed that everyone at Manchester United is thinking of them and sending all their love.
In an effort to help the family, friends launched a fundraising drive that has already raised over £100,000. The MEN was informed by Tonge that the incident seems to have really struck a chord with people.

According to Andy, the crash has shocked the entire community. “It’s shaken so many because it could so easily have been a child who might not have been as strong as Lewis is proving to be. Many feel that Lewis’s strength and fight over the last few weeks is nothing short of remarkable.”
Mason expressed his condolences to the family in the video, saying he was very sorry to hear what happened and that everyone at Manchester United is thinking of them and sending their love.
Nearly 2,000 donations have been made to the GoFundMe site Support Lewis Rimmer’s Recovery and His Family in order to support Sarah, Amelia, and Maddison while Lewis continues his recuperation. Andy claimed that the campaign had truly helped them, having raised more than £100,000.
They’ll be able to concentrate on Lewis without having to worry about money when the time comes to make the required adjustments to their house and everyday routine, he said. He said, “I’m proud to be from the Northwest; this is our community at its best, rallying around an ordinary guy and his lovely family.”
