In order to replace Erik ten Hag, Manchester United is thinking of bringing in a Premier League manager after having “secret talks” with several managers. After a much-needed comeback victory over Brentford last weekend and a respectable draw against Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in the middle of the week, Ten Hag is still in danger at Old Trafford.

The most successful side in British football, Manchester United, is currently in the bottom half of the Premier League standings going into their matchup with West Ham on Sunday. United has lost all three of their opening games in the Europa League, as if being forced to play in that league instead of the Champions League wasn’t awful enough. Although Ten Hag has stated time and time again that the Old Trafford owners support him, it is generally known that they discussed replacing the Dutchman with a number of managers last summer.

Thomas Frank stance on Man Utd job revealed

According to TEAMtalk sources, Brentford manager Thomas Frank is being given “serious consideration” on Manchester United’s shortlist of possible Erik ten Hag replacements. The Bees manager transformed his team from Championship regulars into a dominant Premier League force, earning him a reputation as one of England’s top managers. Due to his performance, Frank has been connected to numerous positions; in their most recent managerial searches, teams like Chelsea and Liverpool have expressed interest in hiring him.

We know that this could be the position he pushes for now that he is on Manchester United’s radar. Some claim that Ten Hag’s dismissal is a matter of when rather than if, and sources have made it apparent that the Red Devils board is weighing their alternatives.
