Frenkie de Jong may be considering his future at Barcelona

De Jong is dissatisfied at the club and has not ruled out leaving in the summer. He feels dissatisfied with the events of this season. True, Xavi constantly speaks well of him, but his actions do not correspond to his words.

The Dutchman has only finished seven of the past 27 games he has played under the new boss. This is insufficient for a player who should be an uncontested starter and appear in almost every game. That is why he was purchased for 75 million euros.

De Jong’s substitution in the 60th minute of a game has become a habit. He has been substituted 14 times in the 27 games noted above. This happened last Sunday against Rayo, and the midfielder was obviously upset as he headed to the dressing room. It’s not a one-time inconvenience; it’s been going on for quite some time.

Frenkie has a few suitors. Manchester United have shifted their focus to him with the addition of Erik ten Hag to the bench, the coach under whom he excelled at Ajax. They are not the only ones who are interested.

Bayern Munich has long had him on their radar. He is a well-liked player in Bavaria, and it is not impossible that they may make an offer for him, and he is open to hearing proposals.

Barcelona, for their part, is not ruling out a transfer because they know he is one of the squad’s most prized players and that they can obtain a decent price for him.
