Manchester United wants to add another midfield player from Chelsea before the transfer window closes tonight, according to Dharmesh Sheth, a reporter for Sky Sports. The paperwork pertaining to Manuel Ugarte’s transfer from Paris Saint-Germain has already been completed by the Red Devils, and they should make an announcement about his arrival shortly. The young midfielder Sekou Kone from Guidars FC has also agreed to join the team.
According to Sheth, Manchester United is now considering a potential trade for Chelsea’s Carney Chukwuemeka. The agreement would be distinct from the current discussions on Jadon Sancho’s departure. In the summer of 2022, Chukwuemeka was acquired by Chelsea from Aston Villa, and during his debut season at Stamford Bridge, he participated in 14 Premier League games.
Man Utd ‘Exploring’ Last Minute Carney Chukwuemeka Deal
The possibility of Manchester United or West Ham luring Chukwuemeka away from Stamford Bridge is still unknown. Chukwuemeka would be a last-minute addition. According to insiders who spoke with TEAMtalk, Chelsea would consider a deal of about £40 million for the player, who is under contract until 2028. Manager Enzo Maresca has been hesitant to put the England youth international in the matchday teams, despite the fact that he has been healthy since preseason.
Transfermarkt rates him at approximately £17 million, and this suggests that he may be departing. United may be interested in signing Chukwuemeka given his potential, but they have already spent a significant amount of money on Ugarte to strengthen their midfield. The child can function in an advanced capacity or in a central role.
