Mason Greenwood the forward for Manchester United, is supposedly in the sights of Fenerbahce, although he is concerned about playing under Jose Mourinho. The 22-year-old has played under Mourinho at Manchester United previously. It will now be up to the Red Devils to decide the 22-year-old’s future at Old Trafford after his La Liga loan at Getafe ended recently.
Although all of the accusations against him were dismissed in February of last year, he was arrested in January 2022 on suspicion of attempted rape and violence. Greenwood is reportedly the target of attention from several European teams, and it is now thought that Manchester United may consider bids this summer.
Mason Greenwood to reject Mourinho proposal after saying yes to alternative move
Fenerbahce is one of the teams that has stated that they would be interested in recruiting Greenwood for the start of the following campaign, according to The Sun. But according to the article, Greenwood “is not keen” on collaborating with Mourinho. With eight goals and six assists in 33 games for Getafe, Greenwood has benefited from his transfer to Spain. The £75,000-per-week striker has drawn interest from a number of unidentified Premier League teams.
Following the appointment of Jose Mourinho, his former manager at Old Trafford, Fenerbahce entered the competition to recruit the controversial centre striker, who may be free to leave United for a price of about £50 million. Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli, and Juventus are among the overseas teams interested in him.
