Manchester United scouts were in the seats at Porto last night to see Lyon win their Europa League contest

According to rumours, with Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard out of contract, United are likely to make changes to their front line.

Marcus Rashford’s future is becoming increasingly uncertain as he enters the final year of his contract, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Anthony Martial are also considering leaving.

Lyon won the first leg round 16 tie 1-0 thanks to Lucas Paqueta’s goal. United scouts were present.

Moussa Dembele led the charge for OL, and he is back on United’s radar as they look for a new striker.

His current contract expires in 2023, thus Lyon risk losing him as a free agent if they cannot agree on fresh terms. If Lyon decides he is unlikely to prolong his stay, the 25-year-old may be available for as low as £25 million. Memphis Depay, a free agent, has already left Lyon, as has defender Jason

Dembele began his career with Celtic as a youth before going to Lyon two years later. He is familiar with the English game, having previously played for Fulham. Indeed, his time there qualifies him as a homegrown player if he joins an English team.
