According to sources, West Ham is almost certain to reach a deal about compensation for Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Manchester United in an effort to facilitate the transfer to the London Stadium. More than a month has passed since Stretty News first revealed that negotiations were taking place between West Ham and Wan-Bissaka’s agents due to the player’s wish to go back to London.

The story has continued unnecessarily long, which is bad for both sides. West Ham is hoping to get a new right-back before the Premier League season begins, while United is hoping to add one but needs the money from sales to finance the move. Sources claimed that a compensation package was impeding the sale.

Man Utd close to agreeing major £25m defender deal with West Ham

Long-term negotiations have been going on between United and the Hammers for the full-back’s services. The two teams were able to reach an agreement wherein the Manchester-based team will get an upfront payment of £15 million, with an additional £3 million in add-ons. In accordance with the arrangement reached between the two English teams, Wan-Bissaka has also consented to join West Ham on a personal basis.

However, the one year left on his contract and the bonuses are driving him crazy. Wan-Bissaka is requesting the full money before departing, but United wants the Hammers and the 26-year-old to split the cost of the outstanding sum, which is why the transfer has stalled.

In an attempt to come to a decision so that the transfer can proceed, both clubs are in communication with the player’s representative.
