According to sources, Manchester United will offer Joshua Zirkzee in addition to money to sign Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli, rather than pursuing a deal for Viktor Gyokeres. The Portuguese coach officially took over as manager of the Red Devils on November 11 after finishing his tenure as Sporting Lisbon’s manager. Ruben Amorim was named manager of the team on November 1.
Man Utd is now sagging in 13th position in the Premier League rankings, so Amorim has a tough task ahead of him to turn things around. Only Southampton, Crystal Palace, and Everton have scored fewer goals than Manchester United (12) this season, making they’re in front of goal one of their worst issues. A possible move for Sporting forward Gyokeres has been the subject of growing speculation, but the January transfer window makes that seem less and less likely.
Red Devils to Offer Zirkzee Plus Cash for Osimhen
Victor Osimhen is reportedly being pursued by Manchester United. According to what I’ve been told, the English team, through Mr. Amorim, may bring former Bologna striker Zirkzee into the Osimhen negotiations. Amorim is testing the waters for Osimhen since he understands that Sporting Lisbon may charge too much for Gyokeres. For the coach, Zirkzee might not be the best attacker.
The striker combo of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee cost just over £100 million, but their lack of significant production is still a cause for concern, and the latter in particular has had difficulty establishing a regular spot in the squad. Even though he has only been at Old Trafford for a year, the 23-year-old might be willing to shorten his contract in order to get more playing time. The team might then be able to trade him for Osimhen.
