Young players in Manchester United

According to reports, Manchester United have decided on their potential substitute for Brazil international Casemiro, who is a target for Saudi Pro League teams. In 2022, the Red Devils signed Casemiro from Real Madrid for around £60 million. Although the 32-year-old’s contract is set to expire in 2026, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that he will be leaving Manchester United this summer.

Youssouf Fofana has chosen to leave Monaco this summer, and according to Le 10 Sport, the Red Devils are making a play for him. Manchester United will reportedly need to spend roughly £30 million to get Fofana. Last year, the Frenchman was connected to a transfer to the Premier League. Nottingham Forest and Fulham were interested in him, but he chose to stay with Monaco.

Fofana would be a good replacement of Casemiro

Both Sofyan Amrabat and Casemiro are allegedly scheduled to depart the team this summer in order to play in the Saudi Pro League. At Old Trafford, United looks to the midfield market to find a replacement for England’s Kobbie Mainoo in the middle of the park.

Fofana would be a smart addition if they were looking to add a young defensive midfielder to their roster. In the French first division, the 25-year-old is among the greatest holding midfielders. He recorded a remarkable 7.2 recoveries per game in addition to two tackles gained throughout the most recent campaign. Additionally, 50% of Fofana’s ground and air battles were won.
