Kylian Mbappe has since emerged as a potential target to replace Ronaldo.

There is a fresh story and Mbappe’s name is on the top in Manchester United’s plans. According to the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils have “accelerated” plans to replace Cristiano Ronaldo with PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe.

The paper writes that United will “jettison” the 37-year-old after his bombshell interview in which he savaged his club and said he did not respect manager Erik ten Hag.

The 23-year-old Frenchman has since emerged as a potential target to replace Ronaldo, with United reportedly prepared to pay his £150million-plus transfer fee.

Ronaldo moved to Manchester United last summer and made a great impact as he was the leading goal-scorer for the club despite a disappointing season. Man United finished six and lost its place in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, there were some rumors that Mbappe is not happy with PSG and wants to find a new home in 2023. He was heavily linked with Real Madrid in the summer but the deal didn’t get complete. Real Madrid are still the frontrunner to sign the Frenchman.

The same newspaper reports Liverpool midfielder Fabio Carvalho could be switching his allegiance back to England. He has dropped the idea of staying with Portugal’s Under-21 side. The 20-year-old has impressed at Anfield since his summer switch from Fulham and has also represented the Three Lions at the youth level.
