Manchester United ace rejects a move to Premier League club

The player wants to fight for his place in the upcoming season

Luke Shaw joined Manchester United from Southampton in 2014 for an undisclosed fee thought to be in the region of £30 million, becoming the most expensive teenager in world football. He signed a four-year contract with an option to extend for a further year.

He blossomed in the Premier League with The Saints and developed himself as one the best young left-backs in the league.

The England International started off his United career in a positive way and was progressing rapidly. But his development was curtailed as he suffered a double leg fractured in the Champions League match against PSV and was ruled out for 6 months.

The defender has struggled to regain his form since he returned to full fitness and was reduced to the bench during the 2016/2017 campaign under the new manager Jose Mourinho, who replaced Louis Van Gaal.

Last season was more frustrating for the 23 year old as he failed to convince Mourinho to give him a place in the starting XI and Ashley Young was preferred ahead of him. He just managed to make 19 appearances in all competition.

The English left-back has been heavily linked with a summer exit this summer, with his contract expiring next summer. The Portuguese boss is believed to have deemed him as surplus to requirements as the club keen to get some squad members off the wage bill.

The Red Devils prioritized the signing of Juventus ace Alex Sandro and it is believed that they have reached have personal agreements with him. But they are yet to reach an agreement over the transfer fee with the Turin side.

But Shaw has reportedly rejected a move to Everton in order to fight for his Manchester United future according to The Sun. He still thinks he can win back his place in the starting XI.
