Manchester United Dealt A Massive Blow Ahead Of PSG Fixture

Manchester United have been dealt a major blow ahead of their UEFA Champions League fixture against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted that Anthony Martial will not be available for the game since he has not recovered from his injury yet. The interim boss said, “Martial? No, I don’t think we can risk it. He has not been training yet, so I don’t think so.”

After losing 0-2 in the first leg of the Round of 16 tie at the Old Trafford, Solskjaer would have liked to rally with his best players to make an inspiring comeback. However, the Norwegian coach now has to overcome a major injury crisis.

Martial was expected to return to action before the match at the Parc des Princes but the Frenchman has not progressed in the rehabilitation process. He is only the latest one to become ineligible for the crucial game as Alexis Sanchez too had to be taken off during Saturday’s 3-2 win due to a knee injury.

The Chilean is still waiting on his scan results with Jese Lingard, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba, all set to miss the fixture as well. The latter has been suspended after picking up a red card in the opening leg.
