According to reports from The Sun, Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian is looking to leave the club in January.

Darmian started in Manchester United’s opening match of the season against Leiccester City and played every minute of it.

However, he hasn’t made a single appearance for the club since. Due to lack of game time under Jose Mourinho, Darmian wants to leave Manchester United.

It is believed that Darmian wants to move back to Italy and Manchester United have had discussions with Inter Milan and AS Roma.

Even though Jose Mourinho would like to keep Darmian as a defensive cover, he won’t force the Italian to stay.

Matteo Darmian joined Manchester United from Torino in 2015 on a transfer fee of £12.7 million. He has played a total of 86 matches for the club, scoring one goal.
