United are tracking Juventus outcast Mario Mandzukic ahead of a possible January raid.
Manchester United may have been handed a transfer boost after target Mandzukic trained alone at Juventus.
The Croatian international Mario Mandzukic knows he is not part of Maurizio Sarri’s plans in Turin. Mandzukic and Emre Can were two of the players left out of Juventus‘ squad for the Champions League.
While, Manchester United are in the market for a striker and know that Mandzukic is available.
Italian source Calciomercato claim that the striker is already training, but privately, which could prove to be a boost in the transfer saga for the Red Devils. Despite being 33-years-old, the 2013 Champions League winner has turned down offers from Qatar and wants to continue applying his trade in Europe.
He had been a regular under former manager Massimiliano Allgeri for the past four years since moving from Atletico Madrid.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer allowed Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to leave for Inter Milan in the summer without replacing them. Already, at this early stage of the season, he is beginning to see the affects having lost Anthony Martial to injury.
Marcus Rashford suffered a knock last week which left Solskjaer, momentarily, with 17-year-old Mason Greenwood as his only fit striker. The Norwegian maintains that while he needs a forward, he will only add individuals who suit United’s blueprint.
