Manchester United Goal Of The Year 2017: Paul Pogba vs Swansea City
Paul Pogba had a lot of critics at the time, questions being raised over his contribution to the Manchester United team at the time.
However, the Frenchman went to silence his doubters with this incredible striker while playing Swansea City away from home. The ball was lobbed into the box by him which in turn travelled off Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to drop right in front of him at the edge of the opposition box.
Now, looking at Pogba’s technique it might look easy but it was anything but. The ball rose considerably high but the midfielder used his length to balance himself and sliced the ball into the back of the net with a skilled side-volley.

Manchester United Goal Of The Year 2016: Henrikh Mkhitaryan vs Sunderland
The Armenian is no longer at the club but this goal was one to leave a lasting impression on the club’s fans.
Just so you know, pulling off a scorpion kick is already one of the hardest things in football and to score a goal off of it automatically turns it into a contender for goal of the year.
Mkhitaryan’s striker was as magnificent as any other. The attacking midfielder charged towards the box as Zlatan Ibrahimovic ironically found the ball on the right flank.
The Swede striker, who claimed to have taught Mkhitaryan the scorpion kick, noticed his run into the box and curled the ball towards the six-yard box.
Mkhitaryan would have liked the ball in front of him for an easy tap in but instead, he adjusted by pulling his leg back in and connecting on the ball perfectly. It could have easily earned higher honours like the Puskas award if Olivier Giroud had not pulled off a scorpion kick of his own that same season.

Manchester United Goal Of The Year 2015: Memphis Depay vs Club Brugge
Memphis Depay’s United career was stained by inconsistencies and struggles to fit into the Premier League lifestyle. But the Dutchman’s most memorable contributions will always be this Champions League stunner which somehow justified Louis Van Gaal taking a €34m gamble on him.
While facing pressure from the opposition in midfield, Michael Carrick hurried a very difficult pass towards Depay on the left flank. The winger instead of complaining took a brilliant first touch and pulled the ball over the defender closing in on him with his second.
Then it was an open dribble into the box, cutting in with his stronger right before calmly guiding the ball into the back of the net through a spree of Brugge defenders.

Manchester United Goal Of The Year 2013: Robin Van Persie vs Aston Villa
Almost every Red Devils fans remember this particular moment of genius from Robin Van Persie which could also be hailed as one of the goals of the past decade.
Wayne Rooney, being the pinpoint passer that he is, launched an inch-perfect ball from the halfway line towards the advancing Dutchman.
Instead of taking a touch to bring the ball down, Van Persie chose to hit the ball first time while it travelled from behind, onto his favoured left foot. It was the very essence of football being played to perfection.
That goal got voted the best goal of the Premier League era! Speaking about winning such high praise, Van Persie said, “It’s a huge honour. Especially because it is picked by players from the hardest league in the world.
“With a goal like that you don’t even think about what will happen, just make the most of it and see what happens. It takes a bit of courage as you don’t know what’s going to happen.”
