Manchester United have confirmed Sergio Romero suffered no injuries after the goalkeeper was involved in a car crash on Monday. Romero had a car accident, but luckily, the reserve goalkeeper walked away unharmed.

Lucikly, he did not suffer any injuries and trained as normal ahead of the Premier League clash with Burnley on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old has acted as David de Gea’s backup since joining the Old Trafford side in 2015. He has proven himself to be a capable reserve choice but hasn’t played in the league this season. Romero has, however, featured in four of United’s Europa League matches as well as three times in the League Cup. He also played in both of the club’s FA Cup third-round games against Wolves.

Signed from Sampdoria in 2015, Romero has played 54 times in total, helping United win the EFL Cup, FA Cup and Europa League during his time at the club.
