Manchester United have been presented with the opportunity to sign RB Leipzig left-back David Raum during the summer transfer window, according to GIVEMESPORT correspondent Ben Jacobs.

The Red Devils are actively pursuing a new left-back, which will become their next priority after securing a third midfielder.
Fabrizio Romano has previously indicated that bolstering the left-back position will follow the completion of a deal for Brighton’s Carlos Baleba.
Luke Shaw remains United’s primary option at left-back for the upcoming season, with Patrick Dorgu providing cover for manager Michael Carrick.
While Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall has emerged as a key target, Jacobs has suggested that a deal could exceed £75 million, prompting United to explore alternatives.
Raum has entered the final year of his contract with Leipzig, potentially forcing the Bundesliga side to cash in rather than lose him on a free transfer.
The 28-year-old Germany international reportedly has a release clause of approximately £34 million, though intermediaries believe a deal below £30 million could be negotiated.
Interestingly, Raum is well known to Manchester United’s director of recruitment, Christopher Vivell, who previously worked with Leipzig.
Vivell has previously praised the defender, stating:
“David has developed brilliantly in the past two years and established himself as a regular for club and country during his first season in the Bundesliga.
He’s quick, dynamic, can strike the ball and is extremely dangerous from set pieces and crosses”.
The attacking full-back, who can also operate in left midfield, would bring valuable experience and creativity to Carrick’s squad.
Last season, Raum registered three goals and nine assists in 34 appearances across all competitions for Leipzig.
Alongside Raum, United have also been offered Racing Santander’s Jorge Salinas, though it remains unclear which direction the club will take.
With Hall proving difficult to prise away from Newcastle, the Red Devils may view Raum as a more attainable solution to their left-back requirements.
