Manchester United have reportedly made an offer for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen amidst interest from Arsenal and Newcastle United

Today’s Naples edition reported on Osimhen’s condition, reporting that a meeting with Aurelio de Laurentiis and Osimhen’s representative Roberto Calenda took place yesterday afternoon. United had made an offer of more than €100 million for the Nigerian forward in the summer transfer window, according to the agency.

United have now put themselves in a better position than Arsenal and Newcastle United. The player is looking for a new challenge in the Premier League. As things stand, the player is just concerned with finishing the season strongly with Napoli before making a decision on his future.

Osimhen’s future is why Napoli are speeding up discussions to re-sign Dries Mertens, with Gianluca Scamacca and Giovanni Simeone named as possible alternatives.

After sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prior to the January transfer window, Manchester United hired Ralf Rangnick to handle the club’s management operations. His presence, though, has not helped United regain momentum in the Premier League. They have, in fact, deteriorated considerably.

They are presently trailing Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the fight to qualify for the following season’s Champions League with a top-four finish in the Premier League. The prospects of accomplishing such accomplishment are limited, if not non-existent.

Furthermore, sources claim that they must first unload their deadwoods in order to free up finances before exploring a move for a high-profile player like Osimhen. Furthermore, Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, and Juan Mata.
