Manchester United Hold Talks Over Transfer Of This Former Premier League Ace

According to Metro, Manchester United have opened talks with Barcelona through intermediaries for the transfer of former Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho to Old Trafford in the next summer transfer window. The player went to Nou Camp in January 2018 but has failed to book a permanent place in the side under the current manager Ernesto Valverde and might be on his way out of the Catalan in the next summer.

The Red Devils have been in brilliant form this season so far and have made a big impact in the Premier League since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their manager. The Norweigan has lost only one match so far in the Premier League and has taken his side to the fifth position in the league table after their disastrous start to the season under former manager Jose Mourinho. They have also reached the quarter-final of the Champions League having defeated one of the giants of European football in the form of Paris Saints Germain in their own backyard.

Solskjaer is almost set to be announced as their new permanent manager in the next summer and he is expected to get a transfer kitty of a signifcant amount to spend during the transfer window. However, it is to be seen whether the Red Devils would splash the cash to land the Barcelona flop ahead of the next season so as to strengthen their attack even more.
