Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
The midfielder was linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain in winter but the deal failed to gain momentum and he went on to stay at the Goodison Park. United are on the lookout for at least one midfielder and Gueye has the attributes to match the profile.
The 29 year old has been pretty consistent for the middle of the park for the Toffees this season and Marco Silva would do everything to keep him tied at the club. But the 29 year old wants to explore new opportunities and United could enter the fray next summer.
Given the lengthy contract he has, the Merseysiders are going to demand at least £40m for the Senegalese midfielder. Gueye’s defensive assurance in front of the back four could be pivotal to bring out the best of Paul Pogba.
Despite racking up 13 goals this season in the Premier League Poga has faced a lot of criticism for his inconsistency and Gueye could restore normalcy in the United midfield.
Everton are ready to entertain offers for him and United shouldn’t waste much time before lodging a bid in the summer.
