Manchester United have shown keen interest in Monaco’s midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni

Earlier in the season, the 22-year-old played alongside Paul Pogba to help France win the Nations Cup.

The Red Devils are busily narrowing down their summer transfer objectives ahead of the arrival of Erik Ten Hag, who has verbally accepted to become the club’s new permanent manager. United intends to make changes in all three areas: defence, midfield, and attack.

The 22-year-old midfielder, who is having a fantastic season in Ligue 1, first caught the eye of former Monaco boss Niko Kovac. Following the appointment of new manager Philippe Clement in January, he has stepped up his game even more.
Nemanja Matic has previously declared that he will leave Manchester United at the conclusion of the season. Matic is expected to be followed by Paul Pogba and Juan Mata, who have yet to renew their contracts. The Red Devils now have plenty of room in their squad to bring in young, promising players.

Tchouameni is a versatile midfielder who can play in a holding role as well as in a more box-to-box role. Erik Ten Hag should be drawn to this versatility.

If Tchouameni joins Manchester United, he would most likely compete for a first-team spot with Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, who is a big target for the Red Devils this summer.
