Manchester United have identified Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as their primary target for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Victor Osimhen Emerges as Manchester United’s No.1 Summer Target
The 26-year-old forward has been in exceptional form during his loan spell at Galatasaray from Napoli, netting 20 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions.
Reports indicate that Arsenal and Manchester United are among five European clubs keen on securing Osimhen’s services. The Nigerian’s consistent performances have attracted attention from top clubs, including Barcelona and Juventus.
However, conflicting reports have emerged regarding official offers. Buchi Laba, a close associate of Osimhen, clarified that while Manchester United have expressed serious interest, no formal bids have been submitted yet.
Laba stated, “There are no official offers, but Manchester United have made it clear to Victor Osimhen that he’s their first option.”
Napoli director Giovanni Manna has also denied receiving any official approaches for Osimhen, emphasizing that the striker remains under contract with Napoli and is currently focused on his commitments with Galatasaray.
Osimhen’s impressive goal-scoring record and dynamic playing style make him a valuable asset for any top European club.
As the summer transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen which club will secure his signature.
For now, Osimhen continues to focus on his performances with Galatasaray, aiming to help the club achieve its objectives for the season.
