Manchester United Named Ole Gunnar Solskjaer As Full-time Manager

Manchester United have confirmed the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on a three year contract.

United were expected to wait until the end of this season but Solskjaer’s excellent run as a manager compelled the club authority to hand him the job permanently. The Norwegian manager replaced Jose Mourinho in December and has managed to turn the fortunes of the club.

14 wins in 19 games speaks volumes about his humongous efforts and Ed Woodward has once again given him the monumental task to lead the Red Devils from now on.

United had been on the lookout for a permanent manager and the names of Mauricio Pochettino had come up as a possible candidate for the full time job.

Solskjaer said, “From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this special club.

“It was an honour to be a Manchester United player, and then to start my coaching career here. The last few months have been a fantastic experience and I want to thank all of the coaches, players and staff for the work we’ve done so far. This is the job that I always dreamed of doing and I’m beyond excited to have the chance to lead the club long-term and hopefully deliver the continued success that our amazing fans deserve.”
