Manchester United are reportedly prepared to listen to loan offers for winger Antony in the upcoming January transfer window, marking a significant development in the Brazilian’s uncertain future at Old Trafford.

Manchester United Open to Loaning Out Struggling Antony in January

After a challenging start to his third season, the 24-year-old has struggled to find his footing under manager Erik ten Hag, leading the club to reconsider his place in the squad.

Antony, who arrived with high expectations in a big-money move from Ajax two years ago, has found himself sidelined in recent months, managing only two appearances off the bench in the Premier League this season.

The Brazilian has fallen down the pecking order, with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and even Amad Diallo being preferred in key attacking roles.

United, eager to trim their wage bill, are reportedly keen to offload Antony’s £200,000-a-week salary. According to sources, they are open to a loan deal that could include an option to buy, but any potential suitors would need to cover a substantial portion of his wages.

The winger’s return to Ajax has been speculated, but reports from the Netherlands suggest the Dutch side is hesitant due to his struggles in England.

Despite this, the door remains open for Antony to find regular playing time elsewhere, potentially reviving his career away from Manchester.

Antony’s lone standout moment this season came in United’s dominant 7-0 victory over Barnsley in the EFL Cup, where he netted his only goal.

However, it appears that Ten Hag, who signed him from Ajax, now sees the Brazilian’s future lying elsewhere.
