Jadon Sancho will not return back from loan to Chelsea
Sancho was sent to Chelsea at the end of this year’s summer transfer window after having an epic falling out with Erik ten Hag in September 2023, and he has no future at Manchester United. Despite being only 24, the winger has significantly improved in his first games at Stamford Bridge, where Blues manager Enzo Maresca frequently starts him.
With connections to players like Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson, it’s conceivable that Sancho may push his way back into the England roster if he keeps up this play. In an agreement that benefits both Sancho and Manchester United, he will most likely sign a permanent contract with Chelsea in 2025.
Even with the hiring of new head coach Ruben Amorim, who is renowned for giving players chances even when they are not involved in the project, Sancho will not have a chance to rejoin Manchester United at the end of the current campaign.
The arrangement between Chelsea and Manchester United, which has been in place since the end of August, will not be altered by this. Ben Chilwell was never a tangible option, and Man United had no chance of accepting Raheem Sterling as part of the discussion, despite their best efforts to make it work with players included. In the end, the two clubs agreed that Chelsea would pay the majority of Sancho’s wage in addition to a loan with a buyout clause for Financial Fair Play purposes in the summer of 2025.
