Manchester United Players Massive Wage Cut After Failing To Secure Champions League Football

Manchester United players are set to receive a pay cut following their inability to finish in the top four.

The Red Devils are scheduled to compete in the Europa League next season and their failure to secure Champions League football will have an adverse effect on their financial structure.

A number of United squad members with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku will be getting a 25% wage cut in the next season. Pogba takes a whopping £300,000 week currently and could lose a fortune in the tune of £1.8m in bonuses.

Not all players are going to be affected as some of them don’t have the bonus facilities. The Red Devils are also expected to miss out a large chunk of the television revenues and prize money which could stand up to a massive £65m.

Their sponsorship deal with kit giants Adidas will also take a hit if they don’t finish in the top four next season as it could reduce their sponsorship deal by 30%.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to be given a hefty transfer kitty and we could see a number of new faces at the Old Trafford next season.
