According to reports, Manchester United are planning to raid Leicester for a second time this season. The Red Devils are said to be plotting a sensational £130m double swoop for James Maddison and Ben Chilwell this January.

Ole Gunnar Solakjaer signed Harry Maguire for a record fee this summer, while also bringing in Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Swansea and Crystal Palace respectively.

However, despite improving their defence, United have endured a tough start to the 2019/20 Premier League campaign. The Red Devils are placed 12th in the league table with just 8 points from 9 games, two points off the relegation zone.

Solskjaer is said to be keen on adding a creative spark to his midfield and holds Maddison in high regard. The 22-year-old was also on United’s radar this summer but a move ultimately failed to materialise.

Ben Chilwell has established himself as one of the best and most reliable left-backs in the Premier League. The Englishman has a contract with the Foxes until 2024 and is also being courted by rivals Chelsea.

Reports say that Solskjaer will be handed a massive transfer budget in January and any move for the duo could go north of £130m. It remains to be seen if United do succeed in signing the players in winter.
