If reports from French outlet L’Equipe are to be believed, Manchester United are plotting a raid on AS Monaco for Benoit Badiashile.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it very clear he wants to add a defender to his ranks to bolster his backline this summer. The Red Devils are already out of the race for Dutch sensation Matthijs de Ligt, who is close to joining Juventus, while they also have had a £70m bid rejected for Harry Maguire.

And now, the reports suggest that United may have switched their attention to a more cheaper option in Badiashile.

The 18-year-old will cost £31.4m if the Red Devils try to prize him away from Monaco. With just 36 senior appearances under his belt, Badiashile might not be the exactly experienced center-back Solskjaer wants to buy but fits United’s policy of snapping up young players this summer.
