Manchester United Prepare £45m Plus Jesse Lingard Offer For James Maddison

Manchester United are ready to offer £45m and Jesse Lingard for Leicester City’s James Maddison.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to improve his midfield ranks with Paul Pogba suffering a long spell on the sidelines.

The current of players are clearly not good enough to compete at a top level. Maddison, on the other hand, has been a key element in Leicester City’s title run this season. His creativity in midfield has helped the Foxes move up to the second spot of the Premier League table.

Solskjaer rates Maddison highly and thinks he is the ideal player to carry United forward. The tough job would be to convince Leicester into selling their star player.

“Nobody will leave here that we don’t want to go,” Brendan Rodgers said this week. “I think we’ve had a couple of enquiries in terms of loans and for some of our younger players. But the players that are always talked about and mentioned, there will be nobody going.”

Lingard has been greatly disappointing, failing to register a single goal or assist this past year. Without Pogba, the Red Devils are struggling in their build-up play. It was pretty evident in the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal on New Year’s day. United did not create a single clear cut opportunity to score.
