Manchester United Ready Pay 19-Year-Old's Obscene Release Clause

Manchester United could be set to announce their first signing of the summer transfer window in Benfica’s Joao Felix.

The Portuguese wonderkid has a ridiculous release clause worth €120m and Ed Woodward is ready to meet it. According to Portuguese news outlet, Record, Ole Solskjaer is looking to make contact with Benfica in the coming weeks.

Joao Felix’s stock skyrocketed this season due to his 20 goals and 11 goals in 43 appearances. The 19-year-old is one of the most south after prospects in Europe and United are willing to beat out all the competition right now.

Felix is a versatile attacker who can play almost any position in the final third. He is technically gifted, relatively fast and has a creative eye on the offensive end. He has primarily been utilised in the number 10 role by the Eagles but the teenager can appear from the wings as well.

United understandably would like to try him out on the left flank as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean’s time at Old Trafford could very well be over after the performances he put up in the past 18 months.

Sending out him on his way would immensely help the Red Devils in acquiring Felix’s services, ahead of Juventus and Real Madrid.
