The teenager made six appearances for Liverpool’s Under-18 side last season, registering one assist during his time in the youth setup.
Despite his age, Konde had already established himself as a regular feature in Liverpool’s youth ranks before deciding to swap Melwood for Manchester.
Described as a versatile attacking player, Konde is capable of operating on either wing or through the middle.
Scouts rate his blistering pace and excellent close control as his standout attributes. Primarily deployed on the left flank, he possesses the flexibility to contribute across the final third.
Konde’s arrival represents the latest move in United’s youth recruitment drive.
The club has already secured striker Chido Obi and defender Ayden Heaven from Arsenal, both of whom have since featured for the first team.
In July, United paid an initial £4m, potentially rising to £8m with add-ons, for 18-year-old Tynan Thompson from Tottenham.
The Red Devils are also finalising moves for Manchester City duo David Eze and Karim Cassim, with both 16-year-old midfielders awaiting official clearance.
Eze and Cassim are expected to join Konde in Fletcher’s Under-18 setup once their transfers receive Premier League approval.
For Liverpool, losing a highly-rated prospect directly to their fiercest rivals represents a significant blow.
Konde has not yet featured for Liverpool’s senior side but was viewed as one of the more promising talents within the club’s academy system.
United’s strategy of targeting elite teenage talent before their market values escalate reflects a clear long-term vision.
