Manchester United Signs Forward To An Outrageous New Deal

Manchester United have just signed Marcus Rashford to a new contract.

The England international has reportedly just extended his Old Trafford-stay to four more seasons, earning him a paycheque worth a whopping £300,000 per week.

There is an option to extend the deal further, for a fifth season along with performance-related benefits. If he meets those targets, he will be earning even more than his base salary.

Rashford himself believed that he should one of the club’s top earners but it is up to you fans to debate on whether he truly deserves this pay hike.

The striker only scored 10 goals in 33 appearances last season and some of his weaknesses did get exposed under Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Make no mistake, Rashford is an outstanding talent but at 21 years old, he is far from being a finished product like the Kylian Mbappes or the Neymars of the world.

His own strike partner, Romelu Lukaku had to be Everton’s top scorer for three consecutive seasons before he could earn a lucrative move to the Red Devils. Rashford has yet to prove his worth and this new contract only places unimaginable expectations on his back, one several players might crumble under.

“This club has shaped me, both as a player and as a person,” Rashford said after putting pen to paper. “So it is such a privilege every time I get the opportunity to wear the shirt.”

“Manchester United has been everything in my life since I arrived here at the age of seven. I will be giving everything I have to help get this club back to where it belongs and deliver the success that our fans deserve.”
