A respected player for Manchester United is apparently prepared to leave the team this summer, but he has previously ruled out transferring to the Saudi Pro League. Many senior players will probably be let go this summer as INEOS is eager to make changes to the Man Utd roster throughout the upcoming transfer windows.
Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial are just two examples of the players the team has let go; their contracts expire at the end of the month. Football Insider disclosed this week that Christian Eriksen intends to quit Manchester United following the European Championship.
After joining Old Trafford on a free transfer in 2022, the 32-year-old’s contract has 12 months left on it.
Christian Eriksen tells his friends he’s wanted to part ways with Man Utd this summer
Football Insider claims that Eriksen has already informed his teammates that he intends to “quit” the team this summer. Although Eriksen doesn’t have any immediate plans to leave Europe, clubs like Saudi Arabia and Turkey have already expressed interest in signing him.
Eriksen might be able to secure a large contract in Saudi Arabia, but at this stage of his career, he doesn’t appear interested in moving outside of Europe. Before Euro 2024, Eriksen told reporters, “I have never received an offer [from Saudi Arabia], and I have made sure that I have never been approached.”
It seems reasonable that Eriksen is prepared to move on this summer considering he only started in 12 Premier League games in the previous campaign.
