According to reports from the Mirror, Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is on the brink of signing a new 6-year contract with the club. Rashford’s current contract with Manchester United expires in the summer of 2020 and the club is eager to keep him for the long haul by convincing him to sign a new contract.

Rashford has made 155 appearances for the Red Devils since joining the senior team in 2015. He has scored 42 goals and 25 appearances so far.

This season, the 21-year old has scored 10 goals and 8 assists in 32 appearances across all competitions so far. Rashford has scored 6 goals in 8 Premier League matches under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has looked in terrific form lately.

Real Madrid showed interest in signing Rashford but Manchester United are more than willing to keep one of their most crucial players. The club is hopeful of announcing Rashford’s new contract in the forthcoming weeks. This new contract will keep Rashford at Old Trafford till 2024-25.
