According to The Sun, Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has stalled on signing a new deal as he wants to be sure about the club’s plans for future progress. Rashford has been a part of Manchester United since 2005 when he joined the club’s youth team.

Rashford made his senior debut in 2015 and has since become an important player for Manchester United. The forward has so far made 170 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 45  goals and providing 26 assists.

This season, the 21-year old has made 47 appearances across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing 9 assists. Rashford’s performances this season drew interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona. Given that Manchester United are keen on keeping Rashford and that his current contract at the club runs out next summer, the club wants the forward to sign a new deal with the club.

Rashford isn’t the only key player who Manchester United want to sign a new deal. David de Gea is another player who Manhester United are trying to convince to sign a new deal for a while now.
