Transfers Could Happen If The Deal Is Right - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that Manchester United fans can expect big signings this summer.

Reports have suggested that quite a players could walk through the Old Trafford doors in the coming months including Borussia Dortmund winger, Jadon Sancho.

He would cost in the region of £100m which is quite a sizeable figure for such unnatural times. Solskjaer said, “Manchester City and Liverpool, the last couple of seasons, have put the standard where it should be to win the league.

“We’ve developed over the season and now we had a spell of 12 unbeaten and now you add Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford to that and you’re thinking, ‘Yeah, we’re not too far away’ and I’m very happy with the squad. If there are any good deals to be made and players to make us better, of course, we might have to spend some money on that but the squad is great to work with and it’s moving in the right direction. We’re still not where we want to be, close enough to challenge for the Premier League trophy but we take one step at a time.”

Ed Woodward has expressed that the ongoing worldwide crisis will take an impact of United’s transfer spendings. They will evaluate how big the financial hit is set to be after the season and accordingly, provide a budget for Solskjaer to work with.

“On the pitch, there is no escaping the reality that the coming months are going to be difficult for everyone in football and we are no exception,” said Woodward. “However, our club’s foundations are solid and, provided we stick together and manage our resources carefully, we will come through this period with our strength intact, thanks in large part to the loyalty of our fantastic supporters.”

Paul Pogba seems to be the “one real world-class player” at Solskjaer’s disposal according to Neville

Pogba has been sidelined with foot and ankle injuries for the entirety of the season and managed to play only 8 games across all competitions.

Pogba was brought on as a substitute in the second half of the away match against Tottenham. He made an impressive return by winning a penalty which was then converted by his new midfield partner, Bruno Fernandes.

The former United captain insists the ability and production of Pogba has never been worthy of criticism, calling him the club’s only player in the world-class bracket.

“A committed Paul Pogba can be a great player for Manchester United,” Neville told Sky Sports

“His goal and assist numbers are very good over the last couple of seasons. They are up there with the best.

“Hopefully with the economical problems – clubs can’t spend £80, 90,100 million on players – United will keep him.

“Pogba will then understand that’s he’s staying – all I ever want from him is commitment.”

Neville added: “I’ve never blamed him for United’s troubles, I do believe he’s the one true world-class player, although I would have put David de Gea in there two years ago.

“Pogba should be the one to lead from the front and if there is speculation around his future it does create doubt in the dressing room.

“Now there’s a better chance of that team succeeding.”

Raul Jimenez has had a blistering season for Wolves!

The 29-year-old forward has scored 23 goals and added a further 10 assists in 45 games and is already the club’s highest goal scorer in the Premier League history!

He has been linked with plenty of big names but until recently it was United who was leading the race to get him!

The race has now been thrown wide open with Jimenez himself confirming that there are also the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus who are in the chase. It will be tough for United to compete with the heavyweights of European football.

Jimenez said about his prospective transfers, “It is something very cool, I do not know if they will be true, they are rumors.

“Since they are talking about me, different teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool – they are teams that are important in football history.

“It is an incredible thing to be on the radar and on the lips of those teams. It is something good for me to continue growing, making an effort and taking it as an incentive so that, if possible, I can achieve it.”

He added when asked about his dream team: “My dream team? Whatever one that signs me would be incredible.

“Imagine that right now I tell you one and in the end I go to the rival, they will reproach me all the time, I will get into trouble.”

Manchester United have received a massive update on Jadon Sancho. According to reports, Borussia Dortmund will sell the star for £90m.

Jadon Sancho has been heavily linked with the Red Devils in the past few months, with the Dortmund man being their number one target in the next upcoming summer window.

But with Dortmund wanting well in excess of £100m, a deal looked to be off the cards due to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic. With an asking offer of £90m, United will be willing to go all out knowing very well that Sancho will unlikely be available at this price next year.

The 20-year old has been in astounding form with 20 goals and 20 assists across all competitions with Borussia Dortmund this season.

The youngster was left on the bench for Dortmund’s match against RB Leipzig, leading to more speculation linking the 20-year old with Manchester United.

Director of Football Michael Zorc was asked about Sancho not starting the game.

Speaking to German media, Zorc said: “It is clear that we are concerned. But I don’t want to talk about that now.”

‘We have had many injuries in the past few weeks and have not been able to rotate like other teams. ‘Jadon is completely tired and told the coach before the game that he had no energy to play 90 minutes. You saw that in the game.’

Manchester United boss hits back at TV pundit and former teammate, Roy Keane, following his heavy criticism  of De Gea.

The Former Red Devils captain has been left inflamed over the Spaniard’s failure and regarded him as one of the most overrated keeper in along time.

He said, “I am sick to death of this goalkeeper, I would be flying in at half time. I would be swinging punches at that guy. This is a standard save for a standard, international goalkeeper. I am flabbergasted.”

‘Maguire and De Gea, I wouldn’t even let them on the bus — get a taxi back to Manchester,’ he added.

United boss was asked about his former teammates’ criticism of De Gea.

He responded, “Roy was a fantastic midfielder, a good friend of mine, but I’m not sure he would have stopped [Bergwijn’s shot] either,” Solskjaer joked.

“David is disappointed with it but the ball is moving through the air. He also had a good save five minutes after, when we had a bad spell and they looked like they could get a second.”

The draw leaves Manchester United four points off the top four.

Bruno Fernandes Admits Tottenham Draw 'Not Enough' For Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes was not happy collecting just one point from the Tottenham Hotspur fixture like the rest of the fans.

Spurs broke the deadlock through an incredible solo effort from Steven Bergwijn but United pulled one back through Fernandes’ successful spot-kick.

Paul Pogba won his team the penalty and Bruno Fernandes was in a similar position but his decision was overturned. Referee, Paul Tierney though the Portuguese was maliciously brought down in the Tottenham box but it turned out to be a simple shift of balance.

Tottenham were the better side early on but the Red Devils caught more of a grip in the second half. United fans got to see the highly anticipated partnership of Bruno and Pogba in play, delivering exactly what was expected. After the full 90, they walked away feeling like two points were dropped.

Fernandes’ words after the match, “It is not enough for us because we want to win every game. It is a ‘good’ result but we are not happy with it.”

Manchester United are fifth in the table with Chelsea now 2 points ahead and Tottenham trailing by four. Surely, every match counts in the race for a top-four finish.

Ole throws an open challenge to Pogba

Ole throws an open challenge to Pogba

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has challenged Pogba, the real Paul.

The French world cup winner has been underperforming for the Red Devils since he signed for them back in 2016. However, he has done well in the national team and that has drawn speculation that the player wants to move to a bigger club.

He had then been linked with the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid, and Barcelona but a move has not transpired yet. His agent Raiola has tried really hard but it is yet to go through.

However, the club has done well with their own transfers so far and they recently signed Bruno Fernandes. The midfielder has improved the team a lot and fans and pundits are now interested to watch them link up.

Ole has thrown Pogba a challenge, to get fit in time for the important clash versus Spurs and link up with this new look United team.

“Paul is one of the best midfielders in the world, so of course we expect him to gradually improve as he gets more and more game time,” he said.

“I don’t know if it’s 45 minutes this time, is it 60, is it… so gradually over these next few months we can work him up back to his best.

“Paul has had a very, very good career. Of course he is a World Cup winner and we want to have that leadership on the pitch as well.”

Manchester United Could Walk Away From Jadon Sancho

0
Manchester United Could Walk Away From Jadon Sancho

According to Simon Peach, Manchester United are trying to ramp up negotiations for Jadon Sancho.

Borussia Dortmund have been holding strong on their asking price of over £100 million and that could be a deal-breaker.

United were prepared to drop the ball altogether for Bruno Fernandes to force Sporting’s hand. They are reportedly doing the same with BVB for Sancho. Will it work? Who can tell?

Simon Peach wrote on Twitter, “The question will probably be whether #mufc can make a good deal. They were willing to quit the negotiations with Sporting for Bruno Fernandes to get the right deal. I can imagine the same thing happening here.”

Sancho would no doubt, be an outstanding signing for Manchester United. They need more quality up front and he has that in plenty. Sancho can unlock Ole Solskjaer’s attack with his creativity, speed and eye for goal. He has wracked up a wonderful tally of 20 goals and 20 assists in 42 appearances this season.

Previously, there were rumours that Chelsea and Liverpool were also trying to sign him. All that has been put to rest by Timo Werner’s official announcement by Chelsea. The fact that Liverpool could afford to sign Werner means they won’t be able to match up Sancho’s asking price either. This leaves United in the clear to wrap up a deal but the question remains regarding Champions League qualification.

Rashford takes on UK government and wins!

Rashford takes on UK government and wins!

Marcus Rashford is more Manchester United than Manchester United.

The club has been suffering an identity crisis ever since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson but now Rashford has shown what it takes to be a true United man and how humanity should ideally survive.

The England international has been campaigning to make free food available for the poor children in multiple ways and his latest petition was against the UK Government itself to make free food available for them over summer.

He had written: “1. When you wake up this morning and run your shower, take a second to think about parents who have had their water turned off during lockdown #maketheuturn.

“2. When you turn on your kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee think of those parents who have had to default on electricity bill payments just to make ends meet having lost their jobs during the pandemic #maketheuturn.

“3. And when you head to the fridge to grab the milk, stop and recognise that parents of at least 200,000 children across the country this morning are waking up to empty shelving.

“4. Recognise children around the country are this morning innocently questioning ‘why?’ 9 out of 30 children in any given classroom are today asking ‘why?’ ‘Why does our future not matter?’ #maketheuturn.”

And on Thursday, the UK PM’s office finally responded:

“Owing to the coronavirus pandemic the Prime Minister fully understands that children and parents face an entirely unprecedented situation over the summer.

“To reflect this we will be providing a Covid summer food fund, this will provide food vouchers over the six-week summer holiday period. This is a specific measure to reflect the unique circumstances of the pandemic. The scheme will not continue beyond the summer.”

Perhaps, the biggest goal Marcus has scored till date.
