According to reports, Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has advised teammate Paulo Dybala to move to Old Trafford. The Argentinian’s future at the Allianz stadium is precarious at the moment, with the Red Devils keen on taking him to Old Trafford.

Juventus and United have agreed on a straight swap deal for Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala. The Belgian has agreed on £9m-a-year contract while his counterpart is yet to agree to terms with the Red Devils.

Dybala is said to be looking for a salary of around £350,000 per week. He is set to have talks with Maurizio Sarri over his future in the coming days.

Ronaldo has had a massive influence at the club, with players asking him for advice. The Portuguese superstar has advised Dybala to join United if he wants to become a champion.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also praised the player for his abilities. He said,

‘We have scouts looking… but if you say that we need a false nine, then we don’t need to scout Lionel Messi or Dybala. ‘You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to say that, “We’ll take him!”

Juventus youngster Moise Kean’s father has recently revealed why he blocked the player’s transfer to Manchester United. The 19-year-old is set to join Everton this summer, with reports claiming the Toffees have agreed on a £29m fee for his signature.

Kean had an impressive stint with the Old Lady last season, scoring 6 goals in 13 games for the first team. The 19-year-old is set to undergo a medical at the Goodison Park to finalise his move to the Merseyside.

However, Kean could have turned up for another Premier League club, had his father not intervened five years ago.

“I said no because I wanted him to stay at Juventus and keep learning. He was not mature enough yet,” his father said.

“To send a young boy abroad aged just 14-15 years old didn’t convince me at that time.”

“I completely trust my son, he will make a big impact in English football with his new team,” Kean said.

“He is someone who brings joy wherever he plays. He will make our family, Italy and Ivory Coast proud.”

Everton are also targetting the signatures of Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Kurt Zouma from Mainz and Chelsea respectively before the window slams shut.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted that he won’t get carried away with the team’s performance in the preseason. The Red Devils have won all five of their preseason games including wins over Inter Milan and Tottenham.

“We’ve been very pleased with it. It’s been nice seeing the boys come back to pre-season in good shape,” he told talkSPORT on Thursday.

“But then again, no points have been handed out, and it doesn’t really matter when Chelsea come to Old Trafford on 11th August.”

“We need to improve and we need to be better. The more we improve and the more we get better, the bigger the chance we can challenge for trophies at the end of the season.”

“These boys have shown their capabilities. If we just stay level-headed, I can see us improving a lot.”

Solskjaer also said that the team will be better prepared emotionally and mentally for the upcoming season.

“Football is an emotional game. It’s always difficult when a new manager has to come in and the previous one loses his job, but the players handled it well over the summer and they’ve come back really fit and sharp,”

“I know how fine the margins are in football and how easily things can go from good to bad. It’s a mental game, it’s all in the head.

“We didn’t handle the ups and the downs well enough, we know that. That would be down to mental tiredness because it was a draining season for everyone, but we’ll be better this year.”

Manchester United are currently getting ready to play their final preseason game against AC Milan.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has advised Manchester United to sell Paul Pogba if the player is keen on leaving.

“I think if he doesn’t want to stay it has no sense to keep him,” the LA Galaxy star told the BBC.

“You let him go and if he wants to be somewhere else, that is where you let him go, use the situation and bring somebody that wants to stay.

“The dressing room is more the players respect each other, they’re professional, they understand each other’s situation.

“It’s more the club and the management because you don’t want a player in your club or in your team that doesn’t want to stay because then you know he will not give 100 or 200 per cent or he does that and still he doesn’t want to stay so it’s a tricky situation.

“The best is what is the best for the club, that is what you have to look at.”

Pogba and Ibrahimovic joined United together under the Jose Mourinho reign and had a successful campaign in their debut season before things fell apart at Old Trafford.

Pogba has now strongly been linked with a move to Real Madrid or Juventus with the player’s agent fueling the rumours even more.

Manchester United Players Sold With Buy-Back Clause 2019

Manchester United players sold with buy-back clauses? Manchester United players transferred with clauses? Players Manchester United can buy back at a discounted rate? Players Manchester United can buy back? We should also expect several players to be sold by Manchester United in the upcoming seasons.

Manchester United are going through a massive transitional period after Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure. The sheer number of managerial heads appointed and fired in the past 7 or so years has taken a toll on the player transfers. Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Red Devils are expected to sign further talents and send off some of their flop ones elsewhere.

Here, we look at all the players Manchester United have sold with buy-back clauses – the top 5 Manchester United players sold with buy-back clauses 2019.

Manchester United Players Sold With Buy-Back Clauses

5. Romelu Lukaku – Manchester United Player Sold With Buy-Back Clauses

Romelu Lukaku

Reports are currently stating that Romelu Lukaku can easily be sent off to the Serie A, either to Juventus or Inter Milan this summer 2019. The Belgian striker is involved in a bid from the Nerazzurri and also in an exchange offer from Juve for Paulo Dybala.

If the Belgian were to be moved out, should United include a buy-back clause into his contract? He is still only 26 years old and cost the side around £90m two years back. Would it not be wise to hold some equity on his future, a striker who can grow into a lethal weapon in the future?

4. Sean Goss – Manchester United Academy Products Sold With Buy-Back Clauses

Manchester United Youngsters Transfered With Buy-Back Clauses

Sean Goss was a Manchester United youth product with bags of potential under his boots. The German-born midfielder was signed by the Red Devils from the Exeter youth team when he was 17. He played for the Old Trafford Academy for three years before graduating to the senior side in 2015.

While the midfielder never played a competitive first-team game for United, he appeared in a preseason game in 2015 and was an unused substitute in the 2015/16 Premier League season. He spent the majority of his two years with the United senior side, playing reserve games.

In 2017, Goss signed with Championship outfit, Queens Park Rangers for a fee of around £500,000. He struggled to establish himself at Loftus Road, being sent out on loan to Rangers in January 2018 to prove his worth. The midfielder lit up the Scottish Premiership with his creative skills, making 13 appearances and registering 2 goals.

At only 22 years old, Goss has started showing signs of the potential that gained him such a high reputation in Manchester. United had so much faith in the youngster that they included a buy-back clause into transfer deal. It might be too early for a return to Old Trafford, especially in the current environment, but you never, what the future may hold for the player.

3. Adnan Januzaj

Top Players Sold By Manchester United With Clauses

Adnan Januzaj was another Manchester United youth product who once was tipped to be the “Lionel Messi” of the Premier League.

The Belgian impressed United scouts during a skills session in Brussels and swiftly moved from Anderlecht to Old Trafford when he was just 16. He spent two seasons playing for the youth team before catching the attention of Sir Alex Ferguson.

The legendary manager promoted Januzaj to the first team where he sat on the bench for Fergie’s last game against West Bromwich Albion. It was under David Moyes that Januzaj really impressed.

The left-footed winger made his Premier League debut under Moyes and was inserted into the first first-team squad almost regularly during the 2013/14 season. However, Januzaj could hardly live up to the hype he had created and he started to struggle under Louis Van Gaal. In 2015, he was loaned to Borussia Dortmund and later to Sunderland, neither a successful venture for the Belgian.

Jose Mourinho then came in and made the decision to sell Januzaj to Real Sociedad, including a buy-back clause.

At Sociedad, Januzaj finally hit his stride and started to show glimpses of the talent which made him one of the most highly rated teenagers in the world. His performances were so impressive that he earned a callup to the Belgium squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He ended up curling in a wonderful goal against England in the group stages.

2. Wilfried Zaha

Best Manchester United Players Sold With Buy-Back Clauses

This Premier League winger, who is being so heavily chased by Arsenal was once a Manchester United player. Zaha was the last signing Sir Alex Ferguson made as the Red Devils manager. So, there is a certain bit of pressure attested to his name, where he goes and whatnot.

Zaha was brought in for £15m but his debut and only season under David Moyes was not the most lucrative. He was involved in several controversies, including one with the manager’s daughter and he was failing on the pitch as well.

It might have been a move far too soon for the young winger then as he moved back to Crystal Palace a year later for around £3m. Five years on, Zaha is one of the most lethal wingers in the Premier League and is being heavily courted by United’s direct rivals.

The Ivory Coast international is ready to make a second attempt at one of the Premier League big guns and United can stand to profit off of his sale. Reports claim that the Red Devils included a 25% sell-on clause into his transfer back to the Eagles. Now, if United were to buy him back, they could sign him for a much cheaper deal than the £80m Palace are holding out for.

1. Memphis Depay

Memphis Depay

Memphis Depay arrived at Manchester from PSV Eindhoven with a lot of expectations on his back. Taking on the legendary number 7 jersey, of course, many believed that he would be able to replicate, Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, Depay could not transfer his good form with the Dutch national team to the Old Trafford. He endured a difficult first season at Old Trafford and in the next one, made only four substitute appearances under Jose Mourinho.

It was clear the Dutchman was a complete flop at United and in January of 2017, he was sold off to Lyon for €26m. Given the player’s age and the potential during his sale, a buy-back clause was inserted into his deal with the Ligue 1 side. Manchester United has the first option to sign back the winger if he is ever put up for sale.

At the time of Depay’s transfer, Mourinho even hinted that the attacker could one day return to Old Trafford. He said, “He didn’t succeed in his 18 months but he’s very young so I think it’s important for the club to complete control of this talent and we all wish he plays very, very well at Lyon and why not to come back because everyone here likes him.”

Since moving to Lyon, Depay has been magnificent in the French first division, scoring 39 goals and laying off 41 assists in 116 appearances. His market value has sky-rocketed and has even linked him with direct rivals, Liverpool at one point.

Manchester United have reportedly agreed a swap deal with Juventus that would see Romelu Lukaku move to Juventus in exchange for Paulo Dybala.

According to Sky Italia, the two clubs have agreed on a deal in principle. All that is needed now is an agreement between the two parties so that the deal can take place.

Manchester United are eager to bring in new reinforcements after signing Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka and are close to signing Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes.

Paulo Dybala had a forgettable 18/19 season with Juventus but is still attracting interest from other clubs including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs even made a €50 million bid for the Argentine but Juventus rejected it.

Now, it seems that Dybala who has been linked to Manchester United for a long time, could be joining the club while Lukaku, who was linked to a move to Serie A, could be on his way to Italy.

The two clubs Lukaku was linked to over the past 10-12 months were Juventus and Inter Milan. The striker who scored only 15 goals for the Red Devils last season, was rumoured to join Inter Milan.

However, it seems that Lukaku will move to Serie A, only not to Inter Milan.

The Belgium striker may have had a poor season but his recent scoring record for his country is sufficient enough to prove that he is a pretty good striker. Hence, Juventus could really benefit from the addition of Lukaku.

Manchester United already have Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford. Now, if you add Paulo Dybala to the team and Bruno Fernandes, there’s no doubt Solskhaer’s men will score a ton of goals in the upcoming season.

Wayne Rooney has backed Manchester United to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City this summer.

United are in dire need of a new centre half with the current crop of defenders simply not good enough. The likes of Bailly are once again injured whereas the players like Smalling and Jones are simply not good enough to play for the club at this level.

“I think Harry’s a good player and over the last few years he’s improved as a player,” Rooney said to ESPN FC.

“He’s gotten better, and he’s been a main player for Leicester City, but also for England. I think he’d be a good signing if they can get him.”

Rooney also revealed what he thinks about the constant links of Pogba leaving Manchester United for Real Madrid.

“It’s obviously down to the club, to the board, to the manager, but I think also to the player,” Rooney added when asked about the World Cup winner.

“If the player wants to stay, he’ll stay and prove what a good player he is.

“Behind the scenes, I’m sure they’re working on whether to keep him or whether to let him go.”

ESPN Pundit Steve Nicol has praised Manchester United’s pursuit for Sporting CP star Bruno Fernandes.

United are currently busy negotiating a deal for Fernandes, according to reports. The Sporting captain finished last season on a high, scoring 32 goals and registering 18 assists in all competitions.

Sporting are said to be holding him out for £70m. The 24-year-old also sparked speculation regarding a move to United after he cried following a friendly game. His wife also posted a message on Instagram that seemed to confirm his departure.

“This has to be a hit. He’s a great player,” Nicol said of Fernandes heading to Old Trafford.

“Manchester United don’t have many great players, they need great players.”

“They need to start doing something. We’ve got a couple of weeks until the start of the season and pretty much they’ve done nothing.”

“It looks like the only thing that’s going to happen to them is they’re going to lose players not sign players.”

“Talking the way we are does a disservice to this guy because I think this guy is a great player.”

“He was linked with Liverpool last season and I was hoping that they would sign him. Obviously, it didn’t come to fruition.

“I think he’s exactly what Manchester United need right now. I think this is a hit and it better be a hit for Man United fans’ sake.”

Manchester United have already signed Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a combined fee of £68m. The Red Devils are also pursuing deals for Harry Maguire and Paulo Dybala.

Inter Milan’s new signing Diego Godin has lifted the lid on why he rejected a move to Manchester United. The 33-year-old defender ended a nine-year stint with Atletico Madrid to join the Nerazzurri on a free transfer.

Godin was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United when Jose Mourinho was in charge at the club. The Red Devils had marked him as one of the transfer targets alongside Toby Alderweireld and Harry Maguire.

Godin revealed that Inter were the first club to show a serious interest in signing him.

“Yes, a year ago there was Juventus, Manchester United, in the past also Man City,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“But at that moment I had a contract in force with Atletico, I didn’t think of leaving. This time [move to Inter] it was different, I was near the end of my contract.

“But I can say that no club convinced me how Inter managed to. They came alive first and decidedly with more conviction than other clubs.

“They showed me the project: it’s ambitious, like me. And I liked the idea of being part of it and being able to help Inter realise it.”

Manchester United are currently chasing Harry Maguire, one of their defensive targets since last summer. The Red Devils are said to be in the ‘last stages’ of the deal that would make the Englishman the most expensive defender of all time.

Meanwhile, Godin is preparing to face Inter Milan in their next pre-season friendly game.

According to Italian journalist, Gianluca di Marzio, Manchester United are in the ‘closing stages’ of the deal for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire. He tweeted the update much to the delight of a number of Manchester United fans.

Manchester United have reportedly agreed on an £80m deal for the 26-year-old, who is Solskjaer’s number one defensive target this summer. The blockbuster deal would also see the Englishman eclipsing Virgil van Dijk’s world-record £75m move to Liverpool, making him the most expensive defender of all time.

Maguire will become the third signing for United this summer, following the acquisitions of Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a combined fee of £68m.

Manchester City were also interested in the Englishman’s services and viewed him as a potential successor for Vincent Kompany. However, Maguire expressed his desire in moving to Old Trafford after City dropped their interest and United showed it signing him.

Maguire recently missed a training session due to sickness, giving rise to speculation about a move to Manchester United. Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers also gave the Red Devils a boost after stating that there is no deadline for them to sign the defender.
