Former Red Devils player Paul Parker has advised Manchester United to sell Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez this summer.
Pogba has been heavily criticized for his intermittent performances and has already made his desire to leave the club public. On the other hand, Alexis Sanchez has endured a miserable spell at Old Trafford since joining from Arsenal in 2018, failing to justify the mammoth salary he pockets every week.
“You have to let Pogba and Sanchez go,” Parker told Eurosport. “Pogba’s a definite one. He wants to go – that’s been stated, but the only thing he’s not done is go on strike.”
“You don’t know whether it’s struck him to do that. When people are watching him week-in-week-out they see what I see. You see him sulking.”
“Sanchez was another massive mistake. It was a ridiculous signing and it was always going to go wrong. He wasn’t needed.”
“But how do you get rid of somebody when they’re carrying so much money in their wage packet?”
“You’d have to supplement them. You might have to give him over 50 per cent of his wages. It’s madness.”
“Whatever club he goes to next, they’re going to have the same issues as well.”
