According to reports from the Mirror, Manchester United are willing to spend £250 million to sign three Portuguese youngsters. The three players Manchester United want to sign are Joao Felix, Ruben Dias and Bruno Fernandes.
Both Joao Felix and Ruben Dias have done fine for Benfica this season so far. 21-year old centre-back Ruben Dias has been brilliant for Benfica at the back. He has made 45 appearances for the club this season so far, scoring twice.
19-year old forward Joao Felix is one of the most promising youngsters in Europe at the moment. He has done brilliantly for Benfica this season so far. In 32 appearances across all competitions, Felix has scored 12 goals and has provided 6 assists.
24-year old Bruno Fernandes has also been quite impressive for Sporting CP so far. In 43 appearances across all competitions, Fernandes has scored 24 goals and has provided 14 assists. He helped Sporting win their second Allianz Cup title.
Manchester United have the funds to buy these three players but it won’t be easy for them to sign them because other top clubs are also interested in these players. These include Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester City.
One player who Manchester United will face a lot of difficulty in buying is Joao Felix. Earlier, Benfica rejected a bid from Liverpool.
Felix, Dias and Fernandes are all important players for their respective clubs. Hence, Benfica and Sporting CP will not be eager to sell their key players, at least not for cheap.
