Marcus Rashford backing Solskjaer to lead United

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has decided to publicly back manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The situation has arisen after Mauricio Pochettino was removed from his post as manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

Pochettino who had been previously linked with a job at Manchester United is again being tipped over to take charge at Old Trafford. However, even though United’s current boss Ole has not done so well, he has the backing of the English forward Marcus.

He told Sky Sports : “There was no hesitation from me over signing a new contract.

“And it was the same for Ole as well – I could see where his head was at, where he wanted the club to be at and for me, it was just a no-brainer.

“We were on the same page and wanted the same things for the club. Ole is a great guy and he has the club’s interests at heart so there’s not a better person for the job in my opinion.”

Ole probably still has time to turn things around at United but come the end of the season if the club does not improve and Pochettino is still around, we might see a change of regime at the club.
