Man Utd midfielder Matic admits Chelsea draw was improvement

Matic says the draw at Old Trafford is a fair result.

Nemanja Matic believes Manchester United’s draw against Chelsea was a display of improvement. The Red Devils secured another draw against Chelsea in Premier League.

United only had 13 senior players fit for the match, but they still fought hard to secure a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

Matic told Sky Sports, “Yeah, I think obviously it was improvement.

“We played against a very good team that are tactically almost perfect, technically also they have great players and they also have a great manager. I think we played a good game. I wouldn’t say we were much better than them, but it was an equal game.

“I think 1-1 is a fair result. They had more opportunities than us, but I think 1-1 is a fair result. It is always tough when you play against good teams, so we expected a tough game, but tonight we looked much better than the last couple of weeks.

“I think that is an improvement.”

Manchester United are three points behind 5th placed Tottenham with two extra games. They are on the verge of losing Europa League qualification as well.
