Moise Kean rejects transfer

Juventus youngster Moise Kean’s father has recently revealed why he blocked the player’s transfer to Manchester United. The 19-year-old is set to join Everton this summer, with reports claiming the Toffees have agreed on a £29m fee for his signature.

Kean had an impressive stint with the Old Lady last season, scoring 6 goals in 13 games for the first team. The 19-year-old is set to undergo a medical at the Goodison Park to finalise his move to the Merseyside.

However, Kean could have turned up for another Premier League club, had his father not intervened five years ago.

“I said no because I wanted him to stay at Juventus and keep learning. He was not mature enough yet,” his father said.

“To send a young boy abroad aged just 14-15 years old didn’t convince me at that time.”

“I completely trust my son, he will make a big impact in English football with his new team,” Kean said.

“He is someone who brings joy wherever he plays. He will make our family, Italy and Ivory Coast proud.”

Everton are also targetting the signatures of Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Kurt Zouma from Mainz and Chelsea respectively before the window slams shut.
