Much to the dismay of Gary Neville, he has admitted that Liverpool looks like the great Manchester United sides of yesteryears.
Liverpool came back to snatch a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur. Neville has now compared this team to the United teams he were a part of, which won league titles repeatedly.
“Yeah, I thought during the second half, I was going to say it on air but didn’t, about the teams we played in at Manchester United,” Neville said on Sky Sports.
“There is a complete trust in this crowd, they are brilliant to watch and they scintillating.
“I agree with Jamie (Carragher) that there was only one winner at half-time and I thought that at 20 minutes to go.
“They have played title winning football now for two years. You can’t compare them to Man City. They are a completely different team.
“They are relentless and they should win a title playing the football and amassing the points they have.”
Liverpool currently sit at the top of the table and are 6 points clear of Manchester City. They are still unbeaten this season in the league.
Oh poor Gary, we know how much it must hurt you to see this.
