Pogba was heavily criticized on social media after missing a great chance to help Manchester United beat Wolves.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side had the perfect opportunity to regain the lead after Pogba was fouled by Conor Coady inside the box.

Fans expected Rashford to step up to the spot after he scored a penalty against Chelsea last weekend. But after he had climbed back to his feet, Pogba decided to take the responsibility upon himself.

The Englishman originally grabbed the ball, but the Pogba had decided it was his turn though, despite having one of the worst penalty records in Premier League history.

After the game, Manchester United legend Gary Neville was furious with the mix up, insisting, many times, that “something’s not right”.

“I think Pogba might be the penalty taker here and Rashford took it off his last week. That’s then caused a problem this week. It isn’t right,” Neville said on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.

“Something wasn’t right there when we were watching. Something’s not right. All I’m holding back on, initially I was fuming with Pogba. I thought, ‘it’s typical you, it’s selfish. Why are you even thinking of taking a penalty off of a player?’

“But actually last week’s one, when I’m looking at it, against Chelsea. It’s weird. And only Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is going to able to shed light on it.

“It isn’t right. We don’t just come on air tonight and say, ‘which piece of analysis are you doing? Are you doing this one or am I doing this one?’ We decide before we come on. They should decide in the dressing room who is the penalty taker. It’s embarrassing!”, he ended.
